Biophysics of Neurons


Neuronal biophysics concerns with many different properties. One of the most conspicuous is their mechanics. Mechanical properties appear to profoundly affect neuronal morphology, wiring, function, and motility. Using large locust cultures we are trying to explore these various effects.
